Patrizia Fabri Hats - Antica Manifattura Cappelli
Patrizia Fabri Hats
Antica Manifattura Cappelli
The art of making hats
From first idea to effective practical making, it is a complicated world where technology does not exist because production remains entirely hand-made. The designer Patrizia Fabri, who after via dell’Oca in Rome, has just opened a shop in Milan in Corso Monforte 25, relates the fashion history trough “savoir faire”. Her 2 thousand ancient wooden moulds, collected in the past years, became a manual of history telling over a century of cap.

The art of knowing how-to-do
It is a unique experience to see a hat born with vapour, to observe capable hands of the hat maker modelling felt.
This ancient action, rooted in Italian how-to-do, remains a precious and exceptional gift.
We are not many who preserve and transmit the ancient tradition of making hats, an intouched art with a slow rhythm, far from industrial products.
Each hat is result of dialogue of craftsman with its creation, taking care of each step until reaching perfect final making.
A matter of style
Elegant, unique and having irresistible allure, the hat is a style timeless icon, a top must-have in world of fashion.
Either a winter felt cap or a cute little straw for hot season, the hat continues to have its evergreen charme, completes and makes the most of every season look.
Maybe a little bit forgotten in the past few years, it has strongly come back on fashion walks.
